Flower Nail Fail

I'm not surprised this mani failed. I didn't have a plan, I just kept adding colors and hoping for the best. (Which didn't work out)
I used two coats of some random red jelly polish with golden shimmer and for the flowers H&M White, Miyo Mini Drop No 30, Sinful Colors Mindy and Wild & Mild Greenpeace.

Gotham City Nails

The last movie I went to see in the cinemas was The Dark Knight Rises and I was blown away by how excellent it was.
It was the perfect end for the perfect trilogy. I seriously lack words to describe how good the movie was.

So, obviously, I had to do Batman/Dark Knight Rises/Gotham themed nails.

Thumb/ The Dark Knight Rises logo - Wild & Mild Black Cat,Classics Metallic Nail Lacquer 11 and black acrylic paint
Other fingers/ Gotham skyline - Wild and Crazy Super Star, Max Factor Fantasy Fire, black acrylic paint and YSL Gold.

So, whatcha think?

I was really pleased with the outcome. The Dark Knight Rises logo came out pretty well, in my opinion, especially on the left hand. Right one looks a little pudgy.

Update & Something Pink

Things have been really busy again, but I'm trying to be more regular with my posts.

But as of right now, I give you this - nothing special, but at least it's pretty.
I used two coats of Miyo Mini Drop No 30 (Raspberry scented) and for the ring finger three coats of O.P.I Designer... De Better.

I've got something really awesome, at least in my opinion, scheduled for Saturday, so look forward to that.

A small hint - it's inspired by a movie.

Classics Metallic Nail Lacquer 11

I have many silvers, but I still haven't find my holy grail... But this comes the closest so far.
Classics Metallic Nail Lacquer 11

In artificial light
In daylight without direct sunlight

In sunlight

I'm really pleased with the results.
This is 3 coats, it dries quite fast and it held up pretty well, considering my work.

Overall, it's a great polish with excellent metallic finish.

Nautical Nails

Nautical themed nails were on my "must-do" list for a long time, but I finally did it.

Polishes used: H&M White
ARTDECO #305
YSL Blue
YSL Gold

I put the top coat on too soon, so it smudged everything. I was so disappointed. I really liked how everything turned out, but then the top coat ruined it all!

Golden Rose Matte Velvet 105

I did a little shopping yesterday, and I got this polish - Golden Rose Matte Velvet 105
With flash

Artificial light
In sunlight

Isn't it nice?
I haven't tried it with a shiny top coat yet, but right now I love it matte.

Now the big shocker - this is only one coat!
It has super coverage and it dries really quickly.

It's the perfect greenish-blue and it seems pretty durable. I'm not saying this is my new favourite, but it comes pretty close.

Be-Jeweled

I fell in love with the Sally Hansen Gem Crush polishes after I tried the Blingtastic.
My next purchase was Be-Jeweled - purple glitter with a little bit of red.

In sunlight.

Isn't it gorgeous?
This is three coats and no base colour.

The only downsides are that the removal is hell (like with all glitter polishes) and you can still see the nail-line. Nevertheless, it looks so beautiful and light purple suits my skin tone well, so for me, this polish is perfection.

Crazy Stripes

I wanted something colourful, but nothing that will take too much time, so here's what I came up with.
Base - two coats of Flomar 234
Stripes - Wild & Mild Unbreakable

It's not my typical colour combination, but I think it works pretty okay...
It kinda reminds circus, am I right? Or is it just me?

Sunset

There's no long story behind this mani - I just really love the palm tree stamp that I have.

Polishes used:
Wild & Mild Unbreakable (turquoise)
Wild and Crazy Chunky Chow (purple)
Casuelle #13 (red)
and for the stamping - Wild & Mild Black Cat

First I put on two coats of Unbreakable, then sponged on some Chunky Chow to create the gradient. It didn't look exactly like I wanted so I added some #13 to the purple to get the result seen in picture.

Lava Nails

I had several reds and a black crackle polish - I had to try out the lava nails.
So this is what it all looked liked before the crackle - blotchy and streaky, yet I actually liked it. Especially my right hand thumb.

Polishes used:
Mereneid's yellow polish
MIYO Mini Drops in Orange
ARTDECO #305 (bright red)
Wild and Crazy in Angelica (bright red with small shimmer)

I put them on pretty randomly, starting with the lightest and adding the reds. I didn't let anything dry. In the end I went over everything with the yellow polish to mix the colors together.
With the crackle.
I used Depend Cracked Effect in black (5001).

Looks pretty legit, don't you think?
