221B Baker Street

I recently got addicted to British TV shows and panel shows... Sherlock, Doctor Who, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks... The list goes on.

You Brits, have seriously the best stuff.

So like the tile already hints, this mani is inspired by the amazing BBC series Sherlock
Or to be more precise, this is their wallpaper at the 221B Baker Street.

I used H&M Beige, black and yellow acrylic paint and yellow nail polish.

This is just the beginning of my British TV nails. There will be more.

Also, feel free to recommend me more TV shows and movies to watch - British, non-British, doesn't matter. I'm always looking for something good to watch.

Shiny and Sparkling

The star of the show is Wild & Mild Cest la Vie. (Totally loving the name)

First I used two coats of Cest la Vie. It's red foil finish polish with silver microglitter. Then I let it dry and sponged on some O.P.I Designer... De Better, which also has foil finish.

It doesn't show up that well on the pictures, but in real life it looked really pretty.

Aztec

Aztec is amazing. Simple as that.

I was recently lucky enough to win a giveaway from Laura from Clothes, Cosmetics and Chat.
It was really such a pleasant surprise!

I won 5 gorgeous nail polishes and this is the first one I tried out. This is Accessorize Aztec

Say this isn't beautiful, I dare you!
This is two coats and I absolutely love it. It's purple-greenish duochrome and magic in a bottle.

You'll be seeing the other 4 soon, I promise, so keep waiting! :)

Also, apparently I have used up all my 1 GB of space for photos, so I have a question to you all: Do you use Picasa Web Albums or something else to store your pictures? What? I could really use some advice on it.

A New Beginning

Sorry for another blogging hiatus. Even though I'm done with school for summer, I haven't had time to blog as much. I've gotten a summer job and that's kept me pretty busy, not to mention it keeps breaking my nails. So this will be short-nails summer apparently.

Also I tried to revamp my blog - remove few things, add some new things.
If any of you have recommendations or ideas how to improve my blog I'd be happy to hear them, so feel free to comment or mail me. :)

And of course I couldn't post it without some nail pictures - once again I tried water marbling (and I still haven't mastered that skill)
I used Miyo Mino Drop No 30 (Raspberry), YSL Gold and regular black nail polish.

Color Block Nails

My first try at color block nails - not perfect, but quite okay in my opinion.

As a base I used two coats of Mereneid's holographic pink polish.
For color blocks I  used Holografic Shine in Lilac Hologram and Flomar 234.

I don't know what's wrong with my nails lately - they keep breaking and breaking. I gotta do something about it.I miss having normal-length nails. :(

UEFA Time

Finally the UEFA EURO 2012 is here so I just had to do some football inspired nail art.
I support Spain, so I maybe some Spanish team nails soon?

I used white nail polish, black acrylic paint and Wild and Crazy Indian Chief (clear glitter).

So, do you watch the games?
If yes, who do you support?

Pretty in Pink

I used three coats of Carlo di Roma #03
And for the accent nail - H&M White and  Flomar 382

I really like the light pink, but the only trouble with it is that it has to be at least 3 coats, otherwise it's streaky. And of course I couldn't have only one toned nails, so I did an accent nail.

Mint Green

This was yet another attempt on cherry blossoms. Didn't turn out as well as I hoped, but I liked the overall result.
I used two coats of  random mint green nail polish and for the the blossoms:
brown - Golden Rose #80
light pink - Essie Virgin Orchid
Dark pink - my own franken

Turquoise & Glitter

I just love turquoise color. It's one of my all time favourites and perfect for summer.

As a base I used 2 coats of Wild & Mild Unbreakable and for tips I used Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Blingtastic.

The most accurate look is in the last picture.

Purple Floral

I got a new purple floral dress and the pattern is inspired by it.
I think it matches pretty well.

Base - one(!) coat of Wild and Crazy Tibortz
Flowers - H&M Light Purple which blended with Flomar 381 and the bright pink that you can see is Flomar 382.
Leaves - Wild &Mild Greenpeace

The base purple held up pretty well, I wore it for 6 days and I only got some tipwear, no chipping at all.
I usually don't wear one design so long, but I didn't have time to make a new one and I didn't want to be with bare nails.

I'm all done with university for this year, so now I'm back on my regular schedule, yay! :)

Also, I finally figured out how to put a proper "Pin it" button under my posts, so feel free to pin me!?
