Newspaper Nails

I finally got around to try the newspaper nails.
It was my first time, so as expected, I screwed things up a bit, but it was still wearable.
For the base I used two coats of Sally Hansen Beige Blast.
Overall I really liked the look and I'm most definitely doing this again.

Whatcha think? :)

Dark Blue

 Dark blue, dark blue
Have you ever been alone in a crowded room...
-Jack's Mannequin "Dark Blue"

Every time I looked at my nails that song started playing in my head.

I used two coats of H&M Blue.
It's such a beautiful dark creme blue.
(I'm a total sucker for blues!)

Over the blue I used one coat of e.l.f Golden Goddess.
It's such a nice combo, isn't it? I think the Golden Goddess looks excellent on dark colors.

I Rule!

A bit quirky mani. :)

The pink is Sinful Colors shade Mindy and the lines and numbers are made with black acrylic paint. Inspired by one only - my ruler.

Matte vs Glossy

I used two coats of regular black nail polish and one coat of BeYu Matte Top Coat
And then I did the tips with a glossy top coat.

Black is always safe option for me.
I hadn't tried matted out black yet and I have to say, I really liked how it looked.
And I think the glossy french tip looks nice and  switches it up a bit.

Is it Pink? Is it Purple?

It's both!
This post is about BYS nail polish that changes colors under different temperatures.
Purple when it's cold
Pink when it's warm

Something between pink and purple in room temperature
I run my thumb under cold water at first and then put hot water at the tip, it gave a pretty nice noticeable line.

The shade itself is called BYS Glitter Purple N285, which pretty much explains all - it's glittery and it's purple.

I'm wearing three coats and on my accent finger I have on two coats of Wild and Crazy Anchorage.
My only surprise with this polish was that it dried matte (and that was the reason why I used matte top coat too)

Overall I liked, it was nice shade (both shades, actually) and it stayed on really well. I'd give it two thumbs up. :)

Andy Warhol Inspired Nails

I've mentioned that I'm a huge art and art history fan - I absolutely love the renaissance era and I also love pop art.

Andy Warhol has been one of my favorite artists for a long time, so here's a mani inspired his artwork "Gun"

E.l.f Golden Goddess

Let me start out by saying that I really like this polish.
To test it out I tried it over black and white.
It looks nice on white, but it looks excellent on black - at least in my opinion.
The small golden glitter gives a nice background to the bigger holographic hexagon glitter.

It's my first e.l.f polish. I'm really satisfied with how it looks and it doesn't take much time to dry, so all in all it,'s great.
I already used it in the Glitterbomb post and I'm wearing it right now, as I type it over some blue (post coming soon).

How do you like this and have you tried e.l.f nail polishes and did you like them?

Glitterbomb

For the base I used one coat of Sally Hansen Beige Blast and two coats of Essie Virgin Orchid. Even without the glitter I loved how it looked. It's such a beautiful pink with gold shimmer, the only downside is that it tends to look streaky (so that's why the Beige Blast).
(Pictures taken before I cleaned up around the edges)
After the base, I sponged some O.P.I Designer... De Better to the tips and finished it off with a coat of E.l.f Golden Goddess.

It's so girly and sparkly, I really liked this look. :)
