RHCP I'm With You

I'm writing this late Monday evening, just few hours after the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert.

It was unbelievable, absolutely phenomenal!

I've been their fan for a long time and now I can finally tick the "See Red Hot Chili Peppers live" box in my bucket list.

Of course I had to do appropriate nails for this event, so here they are.
The ring finger is their logo and thumb should be their I'm With You album cover seen above.

I used two coats of white nail polish, a fan brush with Golden Rose #103 (silver holo), red white and black acrylic paint.

As I mentioned in the 221B Baker Street post, I've been obsessed with British TV shows. And the reason for my obsession is Doctor Who.
I began with Doctor Who, everything else escalated from that.

So here's a mani inspired by the notorious Daleks.

Real Daleks & Dalek Caan.

Daleks are mutants from the planet Skaro. Their greatest enemy is the Doctor, whom they fought in the Last Great Time War, which ended with almost total destruction of both races.

My ring finger  Dalek Caan and others are just Daleks.

I used Artistry in Luster and YSL Gold for most of the nails. Accent nail is Wild & Mild in Black Cat and matte and shiny top coat.

I've got Spider-Man's DNA

This is one of those how-the-heck-did-I-come-up-with-this-idea? manis.

I recently saw the movie The Amazing Spider-Man, which in fact, was amazing.
And then one evening I had no idea what to do on my nails a voice in my brain went: DNA structures look pretty cool... Also Spider-Man. Spider-Man is always cool.

For the base I used three coats of Golden Rose Holographic Color #103.
It's quite pretty, but I think I would've liked it more if I wouldn't own GOSH Holographic. Next to that all other silver holos are just... meh.
For the DNA Backbone I used Maybelline Express Finish Diamonds in Black Graphite.
For the base pairs I used Golden Rose Holographic Color #119 and dotted in some red and blue acrylic paint, to make it more Spider-Man-ish.

Slightly weird mani, but I like it. :D

Summer Blues

Blue nails are always my cup of tea. Add a dash of glitter and I'm over the moon.
Pictures taken after work, so my nails aren't in their mint condition. Nevertheless, I absolutely loved this mani.

The base is gradient with  Wild & Mild Unbreakable (kinda ironic, considering my nails) and Maybelline Colorama Electric Blue. On top I've got flower stamps and H&M Gold Glitter.

I finally bought H&M Hunt Me Down - a polish I've been eyeing for ages. It's just the type of green I love and I haven't found a similar one.
This is it - 2 coats of H&M Hunt Me Down - it dries relatively fast and the colour is just amazing!
For the camouflage I used some light brown, gray/beige (greige) and lighter green.

I chose this pattern to do for two reasons: 1) the base color was fitting 2) my brother was recently called into military service, so it seemed appropriate.

My nails are still in a dreadful condition - nothing helps, they keep on breaking, due to my work, so I have to file them down constantly.
I can't wait till it's all over and I can grow them out again.

Pink & Butterflies

This is the mani I wore for my Swedish cruise last weekend.
Really girly, really summery.
I used two coats of Essie Virgin Orchid. The holographic gold was done with a fan brush.
Butterflies are from a unknown brand's M28 stamping plate.

I had really great time at Sweden though I didn't buy many things from there, I've done quite a lot of shopping lately, so I'm thinking about doing a haul post...
Would that be interesting-ish read? Or should I stick to nails?

I'm gonna start the week with a little adorableness.

This are my 4 year old sister's nails. I did these for her kindergarten party and she was so happy.

She chose Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Speedy Sunburst. I was wearing it at the same time and she wanted to match.

Because who doesn't like cherries (or at least cherry-pattern)?
I used one coat of H&M White and one coat of No7 Twinkle, to achieve the nice light pink background.
For the cherries I used green acrylic paint and Wild and Crazy Angelica and some white to give them their glossy look.

I adored the end result, it's just so summer. :)

Fantasy Fire

Who ever came up with this shade is a genius!

This is another beautiful polish from the giveaway hosted by Laura.

Even my little sister told that this looks "so so so pretty".
I used one coat of H&M Blue and two coats of Max Factor Fantasy Fire
I absolutely adore how this looks and I can't wait to try it out over other colours.
Slightly blurry picture to show off all the gorgeousness
And the four last pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

Aah, I still can't get over how good it looks!

Viva España!

Spain won the EURO2012 and I couldn't  be happier!

Excellent game, they won the third big tournament in a row!

For the finale and I did the Spanish flag nails, so here it is:
I used 1 coat of ARTDECO #305 and two coats of Mereneid's yellow polish and a sharpie-type of pen to do the emblems.
Now only 2 more years to the World Cup 2014 in Brazil! :D
