Zombie Apocalypse

I'm feeling much better now, so I just had to do another Halloween manicure - Zombie Apocalypse

For the base I used one of my frankens.
It's this gray & blue with small silver-blue shimmer.
I used acrylic paint for everything else.

For the for the red blood I put some to the places I wanted, but it looked too neat, so I used my pinky to smear it and make it look more zombie-like.
Same thing with the green. I feel zombies are little greenish in the face.

And in the case of an actual Zombie Apocalypse, I recommend all of you to follow the 32 rules of Zombieland. They seem pretty efficient.

Mummy Madness

Another Halloween mani. :)

This is how I started out:
Two coats of white nail polish
And sponged on beige, to make the mummies look "older".
I used black acrylic color to do the lines and eye-area and I used red acrylic paint to do the eyes.

This is probably going to be my last Halloween mani this year, since I got sick yesterday - high fever, muscle pain - all that jazz and I'm so tired all the time. I really wanted to do at least one more, maybe even two, but I just can't make myself to pick up a brush right now. :/

Halloween!

If I started doing Halloween manicures than how can I not do a orange-black one.
I used two coats of  Golden Rose #53 and black acrylic paint to do the bat(man logo), spider, cat, spider web and the pumpkin.Oh and a little bit of Marks & Spencer dark green polish to do the pumpkin's top.

This manicure lasted only a day - orange and black combo is still not my cup of tea, but maybe I'll warm up to it someday.

BYS Mascara Volume & Lengthening

BYS is an Australian brand designed and developed in Melbourne.

I had never heard about this brand before I saw that our local department store, Kaubamaja, was selling their make-up.
I decided to try out the Volume & Lengthening Mascara.

It's excellent for daily use. It gives a nice result and doesn't need touching up throughout the day, which is a huge plus. I have always had problems with mascara smudging in the outer corner of my eye, but I haven't had this problem with this mascara.

I cost 3.50 €, which was a campaign price, so I think it's usually a bit more expensive (but still super cheap for such a good mascara). Sadly I think that BYS brand's make up was also a campaign thing, since I haven't noticed their products on sale anymore.

I wanted to try it out because I saw that the brush has little nylon particles (click to enlarge the wand picture) that suppose to make your lashes seem longer. I usually use one full coat, let it dry and then add a bit more to the tips, but you can also build it up with several layers so your lashes look really long.

Overall, I'd give two thumbs up. It does what it says - gives more volume and lengthens and last an entire day without flaking or smudging. Also they do not test their products on animals, which is a huge plus.

Tux Mani

I used H&M's white polish for base and everything else I did with acrylic paint.

At first everything looked good, but when I put on the top coat, the white lines turned into purple. I don't even know why.

They only bad thing about this mani is that it gave me super dark cuticles when I removed them. But overall I really liked it.

Owls

I love brown fall colors.
So this manicure is inspired by them.
All the polishes I used -
Golden Rose #80, H&M Beige, Mereneid Black, Mereneid White , Manhattan #204 and Artdeco #90.

Update about the make up course -
It was quite boring and I didn't learn anything new from it. They talked the same old things, that everyone, who use make-up, should know - clean your face every day, moisturize, use bronzer for contouring etc.
And in the end everyone got this Milk & Honey Nourishing Hand & Body Cream as a gift. I'm trying it out, but for now I can just say that it smells really good.
