Starry Night

One of the most easiest and nicest manis.
I started out with two coats of black.
Since I haven't had only one colored nails for a long time, I had an urge to stop after the second coat - black just looks so beautiful.
But I still covered it with one coat of Wild and Crazy Indian Chief, which is a polish with multi-colored glitter.
It's weird how matte my nails seem, in real life they were all nice and glossy.

And the bottle shot.

I've said it before - the easiest way to switch up a nail polish is to add glitter.
Works every time. :)

Pink & Flowers

Another pink and silver mani.
For the base I used two coats of Maybelline Colorama Fireball - dark pink with shimmer.
For the stripes I used silver nail art polish.
And the flowers are nail sticker.
And a bottle shot.
I liked this mani, but it only lasted half a day. I thought my nails were dry when I started doing other things, but I was wrong.
Still, it was nice while it lasted. :D

Shiny & Matte

For the base I used two coats of regular black nail polish.
Then the top coat.
Then I used matte top coat for the stripes.
And then I did the silver dots.

I didn't use any rhinestones, since I couldn't use top coat to secure them, because that would've messed up the shiny-matte duo.

GOSH Holographic

 The infamous GOSH Holographic 549

I don't dedicate an entire post to a polish often, but this had to have it's own post.
No surprise, it's picture heavy.

With flash

Under a lamp

And the bottle shots.

Sadly, there wasn't any natural sunlight, but I bet the polish would look even more gorgeous in sunlight.

I'm beginning to understand why people are willing to pay so much for it on ebay.
It's gorgeous!
The pictures doesn't do its justice.

I discovered that one of our local make-up stores still has few bottles left of this polish although it was discontinued last year (?), and of course I had to have one.

When applying it, it seemed kinda watery, but that problem disappears when you shake it properly for a minute or so.

Overall, I'm totally head over heels for this polish. It looks gorgeous and I don't understand why this beauty was discontinued?!

Pride & Prejudice Mani

Here's my promised Pride & Prejudice mani.

If you haven't read my previous post, then you can find it here. It was a total ode to Pride and Prejudice and to Jane Austen.

And here's my inspiration.
Cover of the book
The inside.
For the base I used one (!) coat of H&M White nail polish.
For the drawings I used black acrylic paint.
 Looks similar, right?
Since the silhouettes came out so well I was afraid that I'll ruin the mani by tdoing too many thins on my nails so I left it like it was.

Overall, it was one of my favorite manis I've done so far and I hope you'll like it too :)

Pride & Prejudice

About a week ago I saw the move Pride & Prejudice (2005) for the first time.
And I just fell in love with it.

Watching the movie made me wish I'd live in the 19th century and that says a lot - I've always loved living in today's world with all the technology (and nail polishes), but this really made me want to go back in time.
I loved all the actors and the scenery was so beautiful!

The next day I searched out the Pride & Prejudice book that I knew we had.
It was even better.
As always, the book was much more detailed than the movie. I love reading books, especially good ones and this was definitely one of them.
Even though I knew how it'll end, I couldn't put it down.
This is my copy of the book. It's in Estonian and it was published in 1985.
Interesting fact - the book is 7 years older than me.

And of course after I finished the book, I had to watch the BBC Pride & Prejudice TV series starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle.

Guess what? It was also amazing!

It surprised me how much it followed the book. Almost every single conversation was there. I really love those kind of movies and TV series. Plus I'm a huge fan of Colin Firth.
I just don't have enough good things to say about this series.
It's a must-watch.

I get obsessed/ excited really quickly when I see or read something good, so it was no surprised that the past week the only thing I read and watched was Pride & Prejudice.

I can't obsess enough how much I loved Mr. Darcy and how nice Elizabeth was. Or how much I disliked her mother and Mr.Collin's attitude.
I could go on for days!

I haven't had this hyper-fangirl phase for a long time about anything. I seriously wanted to go back in time and live in the 19th century.

Preferably in Pemberly.
With Mr. Darcy.

And as a birthday gift to myself, I went to the store and got this huge book.
The Complete Novels of Jane Austen: which include
Sense and Sensibility
Pride and Prejudice
Mansfield Park
Northanger Abbey
Lady Susan
This Christmas is going to be filled with amazing literature.

This post is so all over the place, but like I said before, I'm going through the fangirl-phase.
And for those who actually read all this praise about P&P - on Saturday, there will be a manicure post, inspired by one and only P&P.
