Pink Leopard

I absolutely adore animal prints on nails.

At first I wanted to do the regular leopard print, but since I’ve already tried that, I decided to do it in pink this time.

What do you think?

Yellow Flowers

I just can’t help myself – I like floral pattern on my nails.

I used a dotter to do the flowers, and a toothpick to do the leaves. I know, some leaves look kinda messy, but I actually like it that way.

It took me less then 20 minutes to do the pattern.

It's Dripping!

So this is my first dripping manicure. It’s rather okay for a first time, in my opinion.

I only used the dotter for doing the smaller drops, everything else I did with the polish’s brush. In the end, I matted everything out.
It’s so easy  to do and it looks great!

I will be definitely using the same dripping look in the future.

Oh So Bright

I used four different colors here – peachy-orange, yellow, darker orange and bright red

First I painted my entire nail with the peachy-orange tone and then I sponged on the others.

I tried to achieve the from lighter to darker effect, but it didn’t turn out as gradient as I wanted.

Nevertheless, I like this mani. The colors are very bright and perfect for the summer.

And just my luck - the next day I broke a chip off my thumb nail, but luckily I took the pics before it happened. :D

I would like to thank the lovely and awesome Esther from Estherni1 for passing on the Top 10 Award and the One Lovely Blog Award. I truly appreciate it!

One Little Blog Award

1. Link to the person you got it from
2. Tell seven things about yourself
3. Give the award to ten bloggers

Seven things about me:

1. I love classical rock - The Queen, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, The Beatles, etc.
2. My favorites are Renaissance art and Pop art.
3. I'm good at knitting and crocheting.
4. I absolutely love Grease.
5. Someday I wanna travel the world.
6. I love spending time on bookstores.
7. I really love blogging.

Top 10 Award

1. Link back to the person who tagged you
2. List your top ten favorite products
3. Nominate 10 other bloggers

My top ten favorite products:

1. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter
2. Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Tint Pen (shade 7)
3. Nivea Creme
4. L'Oreal Paris Pure Zone 30s Chrono-Clear
I have problem skin and I've tried so many face washes with salicylic acid bot nothing has worked. My skin didn't get better or worse. But this L'Oreal Pure Zone face wash is the only one that has actually improved my skin.
5. Garnier Caffeine Eye Roll-on
Again, I've always had problems with dark under-eye circles and this roll-on has really made them less-noticeable. The circles aren't gone, but they're much much lighter than before I started using this.
6. Artdeco Perfect Tint Concealer (shade 8)
7. Tea tree oil
A must-have. Helps with so many problems.
8. Clinique High Impact Mascara (black)
Great for everyday use.
9. Clinique Blush (15 Smoldering Plum)
10. Sensai Total Finish Foundation (don't know the shade)
It's a powder foundation and I actually like it more than a liquid foundation.

I'd like to pass on the awards to these ten people:

moostruck exposé, Laura's Lacquers, EstonianBeauty, sorelle in style, Taupe is the New Black, sharihearts, rebecca likes nails, Maycie After Five, Hazel and Mare, Confessions of a Polishaholic

And again, huge thanks to Esther! :) Pin It Now!

Harry Potter Mani

Since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 was the last movie, it was also the last chance for me to go all crazy and do a Harry Potter manicure.

Click on the pictures to make them larger.

Right hand: Harry Potter, Deathly Hallows symbol, Gryffindor colors, snitch, Hufferpluff colors.
Left hand: Lord Voldemort, a wand with red sparks, Slytherin colors, Hedwig, Ravenclaw coloes.

My personal favorite is Voldemort, he turned out great, I also like Hedwig.
I know Harry's nose is too pointy, but he'll survive. ;)

I used tape to do the Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufferpluff house colors. And I used red rhinestones to do the wand's sparks. Everything else is done freehanded.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

An end of an era - a phrase that sums up how I felt when I left the movie theater.

I grew up reading and watching Harry Potter books and movies, when I was 11 I secretly hoped that I'll receive an acceptance letter from Hogwarts (still waiting). I saw every single movie with my older brother, it was our little tradition.

This last movie was everything I had expected - an epic finish to an epic saga. It's rare that there isn't a single thing I didn't like in this movie, even the things that were a bit different from the book.

I was so concentrated on the movie that I even forgot to eat my candy - and that never happens!

I've read the book, I knew what's going to happen there, and I knew I'll get teary-eyed, to say the least. I was prepared for bawling my eyes out, but surprisingly, I managed to hold myself back, which in no way doesn't mean that the movie wasn't moving, it was just a personal breakthrough.

I am truly glad that they decided to make the last book into two movies, if the first one was more drama, then this one was all action, it was perfectly balanced.

I can't help to talk about this movie in superlative, I liked it that much! It ended the whole Harry Potter saga with a bang, that it deserved.

On Tuesday, I'll do a whole post about my Harry Potter manicure. ;)

Have you already seen the movie? How much did you like it?

These two pictures are taken in direct sunlight

When I saw this cute peachy color by Flomar I knew I had to have it.

In the bottle you can see that the polish has some silver shimmer in it, but it's not that visible when it's on, so I made some lines in silver just to make the manicure more interesting.

I just love the color, it's perfect for the summer! Pin It Now!

Horrible Bosses

Horrible Bosses
Three friends conspire to murder their awful bosses when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness.

I saw the movie yesterday and I quite enjoyed it.

The trailer gives only half of the story, which is great, because sometimes trailers pretty much give away the whole plot.

Before seeing it, I heard from several people how funny the movie is and that I should definitely see it. And I wasn't disappointed - there were so many great lines and scenes!

Although sometimes their language usage was rather vulgar, especially Jennifer Aniston's character and there were dirty humor, I still liked the movie. It definitely isn't my all time favorite, but still a really enjoyable and funny movie and totally deserves the quite high scores on imdb and rottentomatoes.

"You wanna explain why you're going  60 mph in a 25 zone?"
"I was drag racing."
"In a Prius?"
"I don't win a lot.."

The Dark Side

It's time to embrace my inner nerdiness.

I joined the Dark Side.

I'm really happy how Darth Vader came out.
I was worried that nothing would show up - because of the black base. I only used black and white polish to do this design and mixed together the two grays I used to create the helmet's shadows.

Star Wars manicure has been on my to-do list for a long time and I'm glad I finally had enough time to do it.
Even though there are some smudges on the Stormtroopers' helmets, I'm pleased with the overall result.

May the Force be with you.

Cracked Green

I was surprised to see that my local department store had the entire Depend Cracked Effect line. The last time they only carried three colors.

I bought this green one and a pink one, that I'll show you in the future.

I didn't thought long over what I'll use it. I've always liked minty green-brown combo... Mainly because it reminds me of mint-chocolate chip ice cream :P

Again one small 5 ml bottle was 1,50 € (What a bargain, right?!)

I actually like that they come in small bottles, because I doubt I'd use an entire big bottle. I'd rather have many different colors in small bottles than one color in a big bottle.

Wild & Mild Full Nail Stickers

It comes with a small file and a woodstick.

Since I had short nails I cut a part of it off...
... and the rest I filed off, like it was said in the instruction.
The end result.
You can see that it didn't apply smoothly and it's kinda wrinkly because the sticker is flat, but the nail is curved.

These two pictures are taken after a third day.
The manicure looks horrible. They started to look bad on the second day, but since I didn't go out on the third day when I wore them I kept them on, just to see how they look in the evening.
The tips were all worn out and it looked bad.

I am really disappointed with this product and it's ability to look good only 1-1,5 days. I like the pattern, but that's about it. I won't be wasting my money on these again, that's for sure.

The Nanny

I used to love the show when I was younger and now I started re-watching the episodes, so of course I had to do the Nanny inspired nails.

Doesn't red and leopard print just scream out Fran Fine!?

It's such a sweet and funny show, I just love it. I love how Niles always says the right things and how Fran, after screwing everything up, manages to make everything better in the end.

Did you watched the Nanny? Did you like it?
What's your favorite old TV show?
