These nails are done when I was still in France. My roommate and I had always music playing in the background and Kiss had a secure place on the playlist.

Mont Saint Michel

Continuing with my travel posts.

This time - Mont Saint Michel

It is a small tidal island and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The island is just off the coast of Lower-Normandy.

Though it's definitely very picturesque and nice, I was a bit disappointed. I studied about this place in art history so I expected the place to be very historic and mighty, when in reality the streets were filled with souvenir shops, restaurants, hotels, etc. I admit, it looked absolutely amazing from the distance and the view was great from the top, but the some of the inside was a let-down, at least for me.

All in all, I'm still more than happy that I went  there - it's still Mont Saint Michel, one of the most beautiful sights in Normandy.

Chanel Paradoxal Swatch

I have had Chanel Paradoxal for several months, but I got round to try it out just recently. And my first impression was that I really like it.

It's beautiful grayish-purple.. To be honest, I don't know how to call this color, but I do know that I like it. Also in sunlight you can see the purple shimmer in the polish.

One from the vaults.

Backstory: dresscode for the party was animals, I didn't have a costume (I ended up wearing a dress with horses on it), but what I could do were my nails. I opted for leopard print.

This is the mani I did for the end gala for Erasmus.

I really loved it, because a) it's black b) it's silver c) it matched my dress and jewelry.

(One of my quirks is that when I have silver nails, then my jewelry also has to be silver and if gold, then vice versa.)

Paris is always a good idea

And this marks the beginning of my France-posts.

(You've been warned)

I lived in Rouen, Normandy, which was conveniently situated 1,5 hour train ride away from Paris. One Saturday in the end of September, my roommate and I decided to spend a day there. Though I've been to Paris before, it was about 10 years ago, so the memories weren't that crisp.

Thankfully it was a beautiful, sunny day. We wanted to see all the main attractions of Paris so we'd get an overview of the city for the next time when we come back.

So this is my first trip to Paris while living in France.

Lately it's been typical that I have no certain plan for doing my nails.. I just take some polishes and pretty much wing it.
